Showcasing First Nations Water Leadership at the Echo Lake Plywood Regatta

Board Member James Cappo of Muscowpetung Saulteaux Nation #80 led a dedicated team of water operators from File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council in Treaty Four to compete in the Echo Lake Plywood Regatta. Representing the Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association with pride and teamwork, James, Solomon, Rodney, Curtis, and their spirited mascot Bannock showcased the strength, unity, and skills of First Nations water professionals. We are proud of their efforts and the example they set for Indigenous water leadership.

The SFNWA Annual Conference

The SFNWA Annual Conference & AGM is Saskatchewan’s premier gathering for First Nations water professionals, leaders, and partners. This multi-day event features hands-on training, certification updates, a dynamic trade show, and the Annual General Meeting. Evenings celebrate culture through ceremony, entertainment, and awards—highlighting achievements like the Best-Tasting Water Challenge. Join us as we grow community and capacity in First Nations water management.
