Our Mission
Strengthening capacity at the community level for the care and management of water on First Nations lands.
Our objectives are:
Provide opportunities for education, training, networking and skills enhancement to the staff involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
Create a professional network for all those involved in water management on reserve lands.
Establish formal First Nations water and wastewater certification programs.
Establish a formal environmental control facilities classification system (database).
Become affiliated with professional organizations to ensure consistency in certification and classification.
Support operators and water staff to achieve regulatory compliance.
Work with university researchers to investigate industry innovations and wise practices for water treatment and management.
Promote health and safety in the workplace.
Host an Annual General Meeting, Conference and Trade Show; and sponsor workshops.
