Contest Rules and Regulations
AGM, Conference, Trade Show & Banquet Water Staff Early Registration Rules & Regulations
The contest begins May 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and runs until Friday, August 4, 2023, at 12:00 p.m. The winner will be randomly selected by spinning an online wheel (wheeldecide.com) and recording the screen. In the event that there are over 100 entrants, two wheels with an equal number of names (or as equal as possible if there are an odd number of entrants) will be spun and the names of the winners on each wheel will be placed on a third wheel and that wheel will be spun to determine the winner. The winning entrant will be notified by phone, text or email on Friday, August 4, 2023.
By entering the contest, all entrants consent to and agree to abide by these rules.
To enter, the person must be a Saskatchewan First Nations water systems operator or other Saskatchewan First Nations water staff member.
The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. will award one prize consisting of a Dine, Stay & Play package for two people, a gas card, and a Lotto Super Pack. (Approximate value: $478.00 CAD)
The contest prize must be claimed on or before Thursday, August 31, 2023, at 4:30 p.m., failing which the prize will be considered forfeited.
The prize must be accepted as rewarded and no receipts will be provided. No substitution can be made. Prior to the prize being awarded, the prize may not be sold, transferred, or traded to any other person or organization. Chances of winning depend upon the total number of eligible Saskatchewan First Nations water systems operators and other water staff members who register to attend the AGM, Conference, Trade Show & Banquet between May 18, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and Friday, August 4, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
Contest winner must correctly answer a skill-testing question, before being awarded the prize. Skill testing question: (12 x 4) - (8 ÷ 4).
No purchase is necessary for entering the contest.
To be eligible to win, the person must be a resident of Saskatchewan and be 18 years of age or over (ID may be required). The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. reserves the right to contact the community and/or the Tribal Council to verify that the person is a water systems operator or other water staff member of the community. Employees and board members, members of the immediate family, or persons domiciled with an employee or board member of The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. are not eligible to take part in the contest.
By entering the contest, all entrants agree that their name will be shown on a video of the spinning of the wheel and all entrants agree that in the event they are selected the winner, they consent to, agree, and authorize The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. to broadcast, publish and disseminate their name, their position title, and the name of their community, in connection with any promotion or publicity, and/or for general news and information purposes at no compensation to the winner. The winner must sign a standard release, prior to being awarded the prize, agreeing to abide by these contest rules and regulations and acknowledging that The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. is not responsible for any claims or liabilities arising out of any matter related to the contest and the prizes. The contest is subject to all applicable Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws. The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. reserves the right to withdraw, amend or terminate this contest at any time without prior notice.
In the event that the selected winning entrant has failed to abide by the terms of this contest, including failure to comply with eligibility requirements or failure to correctly answer the skill-testing question, or in the event the selected winning entrant cannot be contacted within 27 days after the determination of the winner, The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. shall have the right, in its sole discretion, to determine another entrant as winner by spinning one or more (in the case that removing the winner results in over 100 entrants) online wheels, and shall be released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard.
The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. shall not be held responsible for any errors or negligence that may arise or occur in connection with the contest. All decisions of The Saskatchewan First Nations Water Association Inc. are final in all matters as they relate to this contest.
